Created by a psychologist. Crafted for healing.

Daniela, founder of Ever in Light.

I know this road. I've walked it.

A few years ago, I lost someone very close to me in an accident. It was sudden… there was no time for last words, no goodbye. One day they were part of my everyday life, and the next there was only silence where their voice used to be.

I am a psychologist. I knew the theory of grief long before I needed it… Kübler-Ross and the many forms mourning takes, the research on what helps and what doesn't. But no theory prepares you for your own loss. I lived the disbelief that kept me reaching for my phone to call them. I lived the anger at a single moment that couldn't be undone. I lived the long, heavy sadness that follows.

What finally began to carry me back was quiet and unexpected: photographs. One evening I gathered them and started arranging them into a story… childhood, laughter, journeys, ordinary days that suddenly meant everything. I cried more that evening than I had in weeks. And yet, when the story took shape, something in me gently settled. The person I loved stopped being only the accident, only the last day. They became their whole life again.

As a psychologist, I understood what had happened: I hadn't let go of them. I had found a new way to hold them. That is what grief, done well, actually is… the bond doesn't end, it changes shape.

Ever in Light exists so that I can make for other families what once helped me most: a quiet film in which the person you love becomes their whole life again. Every film is built the way both my profession and my own loss taught me… an honest arc of a life, gentle pacing that gives feelings room, your own words at the center, and nothing loud, rushed, or artificial.

A tribute film is a keepsake, not a substitute for professional grief support. If your sorrow feels heavier than you can carry, please reach out to a grief counselor or support group… asking for help is also an act of love.

Ever in light. Ever in our hearts.
