How fast will we receive the film?

A Living Moment within 24 hours, Six Moments and The Tribute Film within 24–48 hours of receiving your photos. There's no deadline on remembering, but if you do need it by a specific date, a service or an anniversary, tell us the date and we'll make sure it's there in time.

How do we send you the photos?

Accepted Answer

Upload your photographs directly in the order form, right after you choose your package. You can add them from any phone or computer. No separate link, no account needed, and family members can add more photos to the same order if they use the same order email. Don't worry about order, duplicates, or quality; sorting them into a story is our job.

Question 3

What if our photos are old, damaged, or faded?

Scans and phone photos of paper prints are perfectly fine. We digitally clean, color-correct, and, in the Eternal package, restore damaged prints as part of every film.

What exactly is a "Living Moment"?

Accepted Answer

You send one photograph; we bring it gently to life as a quiet film of up to 10 seconds: a soft smile, a familiar tilt of the head, a breeze in their hair. Nothing exaggerated, and never simulated speech. Families often play it in a quiet moment rather than at the service, and the $19 counts toward any larger package within 30 days.

What music will be used?

The Living Moment and Six Moments are intentionally silent. Many families tell us the quiet feels more intimate. For Six Moments you can add professionally licensed music for $25; The Tribute Film always includes it. You choose the mood: peaceful, uplifting, classical, or faith-based. Due to licensing law we can't use famous commercial songs, but we'll find something with the same feeling.

Can we request changes?

Yes. Every package includes revisions. You'll receive a private review link, tell us what to change, and we'll adjust it quickly.

Question 7

What is "gentle photo animation"?

Accepted Answer

With your explicit consent, we can add subtle, tasteful motion to a few selected photos: a soft smile, hair in the breeze. It's always understated and never puts words in anyone's mouth. Many families find it moving; it's entirely optional and off by default.

What happens to our photos?

Accepted Answer

They're used only to create your film, never for anything else, and are permanently deleted 30 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them.

Who actually makes the film?

Accepted Answer

A real person. Every film is personally crafted and reviewed, never generated automatically. That's the point.

Is it too soon… or too late… to order a memorial film?

Accepted Answer

Neither exists. Some families order in the first week, and gathering the photos helps them realize the loss at their own pace. Others come a year later, or ten. Grief has no schedule, and neither does remembering. Whenever you're ready, that's the right time.

Will watching it make the grief worse?

Sadness may come… and that's not a step backward. Psychology shows that healthy grieving means approaching the loss and stepping back from it, again and again. A film gives that a safe shape: it has a beginning and an end, you decide when to press play, and most families tell us that over time the same film that first brought tears begins to bring warmth.

Why was Ever in Light founded by a psychologist?

Because the hardest days of grief are full of decisions, and most services treat remembering as a technical task. Our founder designed every film around what actually supports grieving people: a continuing bond with the one they lost, honest storytelling, and gentle pacing. It's a keepsake built with clinical understanding… and personal care.

Can this replace grief counseling?

No, and it doesn't try to. A living memory is a keepsake that supports healthy remembering. If your grief feels overwhelming, if it's hard to eat, sleep, or get through the days, please reach out to a grief counselor or support group. We'll gladly say so directly, because your wellbeing matters more than any film.
